Rooted Yoga of Columbia

Rooted Yoga is a yoga studio in Columbia, SC, located at 141 South Shandon Street in the Shandon neighborhood. The studio offers daily yoga classes and community gatherings, with a schedule that includes classes for beginners as well as classes for those wanting to challenge themselves. Instructors tailor guidance to individual needs, and students can book classes one at a time or buy a Class Pass. Students must be 18 or older unless a class specifies a younger age. The studio describes itself as an inclusive space where every body is welcome and where personal growth matters more than perfection. Its approach centers on showing up as you are, without judgment, and letting practice grow at your own pace. Rooted Yoga's founder has taught yoga for over 20 years and started the studio to create a welcoming space for people who feel overcommitted, stressed, and physically tense. The studio's teachers guide students to explore, express, and embrace themselves, and the studio hopes students find a connection with each teacher they practice with. Classes are held in an intimate setting, and the studio also hosts community gatherings alongside its regular class schedule. The studio sits on South Shandon Street, about 0.1 miles from Rosewood Drive. The Crawfish on Guitar public artwork is roughly 0.3 miles away, and Rosewood Elementary School, the Tree of Life Synagogue memorial, and the Rosewood neighborhood are each about 0.4 miles from the studio. Doctors Care is about 0.5 miles away. Rooted Yoga serves Columbia with a range of classes for all abilities and a welcoming approach that has drawn loyal students.
