Young Minds In Motion describes itself as an academy of learning rather than a daycare center. The program aims to empower families by preparing children early for academic success. The approach is geared toward making students ready for Gifted and Talented tests by the time they reach school age. This preparation aims to give families the choice of where their children attend school. Each passing student receives an approved variance into a school with a Gifted and Talented program. The center seeks to provide educationally rich opportunities to communities that may face socioeconomic disadvantages.

Before and after care options are available for an additional weekly fee. Early care runs from 6:30 to 8 AM, and late care runs from 5:30 to 7 PM. Payments are processed through Procare and are due on Monday of each week for that week. Payment is required regardless of whether the service is used, including for sick days or vacations. Seats for these extra services are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Vouchers do not cover early drop-off, late pick-up, or bus service.

The center’s positive rating reflects the experiences of families who have used its services. This standing highlights the trust parents place in the academy’s approach to early childhood education.

Young Minds In Motion brings a focused, exam-preparation model to early childhood education in Staten Island, helping local families navigate school choices through dedicated academic support.
