Adirondack Dance & Fitness Academy

Adirondack Dance & Fitness Academy is a dance studio in Plattsburgh, NY. Serving dancers of all ages and abilities, the academy provides a complete program that includes classical ballet, Zumba fitness, jazz/modern, character, folkloric, musical theatre, and hip hop. The studio follows the Cecchetti Method of Dance and hosts ballet exams several times a year.

Founded in 2006, the academy focuses on providing quality dance education and performance opportunities throughout Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties. Under the direction of Kathy Koester, a Licentiate in the Cecchetti Method of Dance, the studio fosters a nurturing environment where children come first. The academy is associated with the Adirondack Dance Company, a 501C3 nonprofit that produces large-scale annual productions such as Sleeping Beauty and A Midsummer's Night Dream. Additionally, eligible dancers may participate in the Adirondack Liturgical Dance Troupe, performing at community events, churches, and assisted living facilities. The studio also hosts a local chapter of The National Honor Society for Dance.
