The district also includes Lane School, which was built in 1953 and had additions in 1961, 1968, and 1996, and Stony Creek School, which entered the district in 1959 and expanded in 1963 and 1971. Oak View School was sold to the Oak Lawn Park District in 1982. The district currently covers five and one-quarter square miles, including four and one-half square miles in Alsip and three-quarters of a square mile of southern Oak Lawn.
