Molly Martin founded Juniper Green in 2017. Born and raised in coastal Mississippi, she discovered her love of food when she received a cookbook on her 13th birthday and prepared a four-course meal for her family. Martin moved to Tennessee to attend college at Sewanee and began working in hospitality at the university coffee shop. After graduation, she moved to Nashville to pursue music. She worked front of house for four years before moving back of house and staying in the kitchen. As a culinarian in Nashville, Martin worked with chefs Tandy Wilson, Vivek Surti, Lisa Donovan, and Laura Wilson. She also spent a month in London staging and learning from chef Yotam Ottolenghi. Her experience includes operations management with Strategic Hospitality and launching culinary programs at Salt + Vine and Bar Luca.

Martin started Juniper Green after realizing she enjoyed being part of milestone moments in people’s lives. She believed her style of cooking and presentation would add something unique and contemporary to Nashville’s diverse dining scene. Juniper Green draws inspiration from local ingredients and global flavors to create dynamic, high-quality food. In 2021, the team expanded their focus beyond food and service. They took over operations of an historic schoolhouse venue set on picturesque farmland in Bells Bend. They look forward to welcoming guests for many years to come.
