Minnie Hughes Elementary School

Additionally, the school is recognized among the top five Charleston County schools for most improved science scores. Mrs. Temoney serves as the principal. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Winthrop University and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Administration and Supervision. She has taught in Charleston since 2011 and previously served as an Assistant Principal. Ms. Sharon Gadsden serves as the Assistant Principal, bringing experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and lead teacher. The school also features a dedicated front office staff that supports daily operations and family communication.
