DeAnna Andrea Baker Frost, MD, PhD

DeAnna Andrea Baker Frost, MD, PhD is a rheumatologist in Summerville, SC. She is an adult rheumatologist with a clinical interest in autoimmune diseases and fibrosis. Her practice offers new patient visits and virtual visits.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she completed a combined M.D. and Ph.D. degree program at MUSC and an internal medicine residency at Duke University. She returned to MUSC as an adult rheumatology fellow and was chosen as Chief Rheumatology Fellow. Dr. Baker Frost is passionate about both patient care and research, seeking to understand the cause of fibrosis in scleroderma and how it relates to estrogen. She has been awarded several research awards locally and nationally and has presented her work at national conferences, including the American College of Rheumatology. She has published scientific articles in prominent journals and volunteers at local patient education events to help people understand autoimmune diseases and current treatment options. She served on the MUSC Board of Visitors from 2015 to 2017. As a faculty member at MUSC, she continues to work to improve the lives of her patients.
