Frog Academy Preschool & Daycare is a day care center in North Charleston, SC. It is a family-owned facility serving children from six weeks through four-plus years, operating year-round. The center utilizes the Creative Curriculum to guide play-based learning, supported by an administrative team of experienced SC certified teachers who hold bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education. Caregivers are carefully selected and trained to create a safe environment where children explore through music, movement, hands-on discovery, and sensory play. These activities build strong foundations in literacy, science, and math to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

The program is divided into specific age groups with tailored approaches. Nursery provides responsive care and purposeful play, while Toddlers engage in language-rich routines, outdoor adventures, and fine-motor activities. The 2K classroom focuses on independence, social skills, early counting, and potty-training readiness. For 3K, 4K Early, and 4K Plus, children must be fully independently potty trained. These classrooms incorporate music, art, technology, and structured literacy and math activities. Weekly tuition for the 2026-2027 year ranges from 260 to 313 dollars depending on the age group. This fee covers full-time staffing, a cold breakfast, two daily snacks, baby wipes, classroom supplies, curriculum materials, and facility operating expenses. Extended care beyond the standard ten-hour day is available for an additional 65 dollars per week. A non-refundable enrollment fee of 250 dollars is charged per child at initial enrollment and each June.

Families stay connected through Brightwheel, which provides daily updates, private messages, photos, videos, and progress information. Security features include controlled entry, private on-site camera monitoring, and enclosed outdoor play areas. For meals, families may pack a cold lunch or enroll in the Lillie Fuel lunch program for 25 dollars per week, which delivers warm meals containing protein, fruit, and vegetables to every classroom except Nursery. An optional enrichment partnership with HappyFeet Soccer Fun offers weekly play-to-learn soccer classes for children ages two through four, using songs, stories, and games to build coordination and confidence. Enrollment for this independent program is handled directly with HappyFeet. The center closes for one week during the Christmas holiday, with exact dates provided in the Director’s annual schedule.
