Jackson Co is a family-owned enterprise in Myrtle Beach, SC, founded by Mary Emily and Nelson Jackson and their five daughters. Its divisions include Prestwick Golf & Country Club, Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Ocean Lakes Properties, Ocean Lakes RV Center, Ocean Lakes Golf Cars, Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village, Ocean Lakes Village, and the SayeBrook Town Center. The company also owns several hundred acres of undeveloped land in the Myrtle Beach area. It all began with Ocean Lakes Family Campground, which opened on July 2, 1971 with 30 campsites and one bathhouse. A family vacation destination for nearly 50 years, Ocean Lakes covers 310 oceanfront acres with nearly one mile of beachfront and ranks in the top one percent of private campgrounds in North America. The park has 3,428 sites, including 859 pull-through campsites for RVs or tents and 2,569 annual lease sites. Prestwick offers 18 holes designed by Pete & P.B. Dye, a par 72 course playing over 7,000 yards from the Black Tees with six sets of tees, open to the public. SayeBrook is a 700-acre traditional neighborhood development with residential, office, medical and civic uses, anchored by the 40-acre SayeBrook Town Center. Ocean Lakes RV Center sells and services new and used RVs and fifth wheels, and Ocean Lakes Golf Cars earned Club Car Black & Gold Elite status in 2017, placing it in the top 10 percent of Club Car dealers worldwide.
