Discovery Spotlight

Discovery Spotlight is a model and talent showcase in Myrtle Beach, SC. The organization operates as a platform for emerging talent to connect with agents, managers, music executives, and casting directors. Events include modeling runway showcases covering fashion, swimwear, fitness, and denim categories, as well as acting, singing, and dancing opportunities.

The Discovery Dance Experience is a hybrid intensive and convention offering classes in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, Lyrical, and Open Improv. Participants can enter the Discovery Spotlight Cover Model photo contest and attend industry master classes. Photography reviews showcase photos to attending scouts and agents. Exclusive callback opportunities for representation or next-level training are available.

The business was founded in 2006 by Cory Dueger and Rebecca Dueger. Rebecca Dueger is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Communications. She began her career as a model in Atlanta and Los Angeles and traveled to Bosnia to teach at performing arts camps. As a former modeling and talent agent, she has over 20 years of experience booking talent for clients including Ann Taylor Loft, LL Bean, Sperry Top-Sider, Trek Bikes, DoTerra, Victoza Pharmaceuticals, Kiawah Island Resorts, Christophe Harbour, Sea Island Resorts, Vacation Myrtle Beach Resorts, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Discovery Spotlight is not an agency. It provides a platform for talent to be seen by agencies. If a scout is interested, the individual works directly with the partnering agency. The business can provide management assistance if the participant is not represented.
