Veritas Classical Schools

Veritas Classical Schools is a school district office in Mt Pleasant, SC. It serves homeschooling families in the Charleston area by providing a one-day-per-week classroom complement to home study programs. The school emphasizes a classical Christian model of education, assisting parents in their role as the primary agents of academic and spiritual nurturing. The curriculum covers history, literature, composition, grammar, critical thinking, and vocabulary, taught from a distinctly Christian perspective. Students attend according to their age group, engaging in peer interaction and advanced subjects with enrichment activities. Mrs. Julie Wilson, a co-owner who has taught at Veritas since 2012, teaches kindergarten at both campus locations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Georgia Southern University and has homeschooled four daughters. Mrs. Elisabeth Hanrion teaches first grade at the Mt. Pleasant campus and has homeschooled her five girls for fifteen years.
