Granite-Doctors

Granite-Doctors is a countertop repair business in Mt Pleasant, SC. The family-run company serves Charleston and surrounding areas in the Lowcountry, specializing in repairing chips, restoring dull stone, resealing surfaces, and fixing seams. Tommy and Cornelia handle every job personally, bringing over 26 years of hands-on stone work to each project. The business focuses on restoring existing stone to save homeowners the cost of full replacement, offering invisible fills on granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, soapstone, and other natural stones.

Granite-Doctors provides professional 15-year sealants and silicone resealing at the backsplash to ensure real protection that lasts. The team reattaches dropped or loose undermount sinks with proper support and cuts or modifies existing stone to fit bigger single-basin sinks or new cooktops. They also drill clean, precise holes for new faucets, soap dispensers, or filtered water taps. Shifted or separated seams are repaired and regrouted to be tight and nearly invisible, while cracked or stained silicone at the backsplash and sink is replaced for a watertight finish.

Most estimates begin with customers texting or uploading clear photos of the damage. Tommy reviews the images to explain what repair, restoration, or sealing is needed, providing honest advice without upselling. The team shows up on time and does not leave until the work meets their standards. Customers highlight the ability to fill chips and divots invisibly, with some noting their marble looks better than when it was installed. The business aims to leave customers with countertops they are proud of, earning a reputation for honest care and reliable results.
