McLeod Health Loris

McLeod Health Loris is a hospital in Loris, SC. The facility delivers comprehensive care to the region, specializing in women’s services, general surgery, emergency care, and urology. It is also home to the region’s largest comprehensive center focused on dialysis access care. The hospital maintains 50 patient beds and is supported by an active and affiliate medical staff of more than 120 physicians representing over 32 medical specialties.

The hospital has a long history in the community, originating from a 1945 proposal by Dr. W.K. Rogers and officially opening its doors on May 15, 1950, as Loris Community Hospital. Following a partnership with McLeod Health in 2011, the facility transitioned to its current name on January 1, 2012. The hospital utilizes nationally recognized processes to ensure patient safety and improve the quality of care. Additionally, the McLeod Foundation provides essential funding for various programs, services, and medical equipment.

The hospital is located on Mitchell St, near Main Street and Gaskins Branch.
