Palmer Distinctive Dentistry

Palmer Distinctive Dentistry is a holistic dentist in Greenville, SC. The practice provides biological and mercury-free dental care, with a focus on the safe removal of amalgam fillings, biocompatible materials, and the connection between oral health and the rest of the body. Treatment also includes ozone therapy and advanced laser techniques for periodontal disease, along with CEREC same-day restorations. The practice serves patients seeking a holistic approach to their dental care.

Dr. John J. Palmer founded the practice and has been transforming smiles since 1983, when he graduated at the top of his class from the Medical University of SC School of Dentistry. He practiced mercury-free beginning in 1995 and is a Board Certified Naturopathic Physician who holds mastership with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the organization's highest level of training. He teaches the fundamentals of safely removing silver mercury fillings to IAOMT members and is a national speaker on the subject. His research on mercury vapor released during amalgam removal was published in the Journal of Occupational Medicine and Toxicology.

The practice's team includes Dr. Debra G. Adams, who joined in 2018, is SMART certified through the IAOMT, and is trained in ozone therapy with expertise in cosmetic dentistry and extractions; Dr. Logan King, who earned his DMD from Nova Southeastern University in 2017 and uses CEREC technology; and Dr. Katie Sino, who has practiced in SC since 2015 and is IAOMT-trained. The practice was established as the first Center for Dental Medicine in the region, with a vision of bridging the dental and medical communities.

The office is on Milestone Way, about two-tenths of a mile from Pelham Road, with Rocky Creek roughly half a mile away.

Palmer Distinctive Dentistry stands among the strongest holistic dental practices in its category locally, and its rating and reviews reflect that standing. For Greenville patients who want dental work approached with the whole body in mind, the practice's decades of mercury-free care and published research make it a notable local option.
