He was ordained in December 1991 and has served churches in SC and Louisiana. His education includes degrees from the Community College of the Air Force, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and North Greenville University. He is married to Karen and has two grown daughters, Rachel Holtzclaw and Heather Barrett, and two grandchildren, Charlee and Miles.

Michael Lining joined Bethel as Minister of Music in September 2018. He holds a Master of Arts in Church Music from Bob Jones University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Pensac Christian College. He and his wife Mandy have been married since June 2011 and have three children. Michael has served in several area churches and has a YouTube channel featuring his singing arrangements. He has published several CDs and works with his wife on writing and arranging Christian music.

Church services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM and are streamed via Facebook and archived on YouTube. The church office can be reached at 864-246-3347. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with Fridays closed.
