Workshop Theatre of SC

Workshop Theatre of SC is a performing arts theater in Columbia, SC, located at 1301 Columbia College Dr. It has brought Broadway-quality entertainment to SC for over 50 years. The theater presents productions ranging from classic dramas to musicals, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Next to Normal, and Trolls.

The organization offers educational programs for all ages. Music Director Taylor Diveley leads vocal sessions focused on specific songs and general technique. Students in musical theater workshops participate in auditions, build confidence, and learn from a professional creative team.

Director Marybeth Berry, Music Director Taylor Diveley, and Choreographer Christy Shealy Mills lead the company. Diveley studied Vocal Performance at the University of SC and Coastal Carolina University. He has performed in Kinky Boots, Torch Song, A Chorus Line, and A New Brain. He also serves as music director for Cats, Finding Nemo Jr., and The Addams Family Young@Part.

The theater is open Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The box office can be reached at (803) 799-6551.
