Founded in March 1978 by Doug and Jan Hull as Seven Oaks Farm Fresh Market on a third of an acre off St. Andrews Road, the venture quickly shifted to plants after customers favored the hanging baskets Jan displayed. By 1988 plant sales eclipsed produce, and in 1994 the business focused exclusively on horticulture, expanding its greenhouses and deepening expertise through college classes and garden‑club courses. In 2024 new owners Karen Hedgepath, Holli Miller and Heather Hardy pledged to continue the Hulls’ legacy, welcoming the community to “grow together” while Doug remains as a consultant and Jan devotes her time to the greenhouses.
