Rachael Bryan Cowherd, MD, MPH, RD

Rachael Bryan Cowherd, MD, MPH, RD is an obstetrician-gynecologist in Charleston, SC. She joined MUSC Women's Care in 2019 and practices at MUSC Women's Health - Cannon St, located on the second floor of 135 Cannon Street. Dr. Cowherd serves patients seeking new patient visits and offers care in areas including uterine fibroids, irregular menstrual bleeding, vulvar disorders, well women care, minimally invasive surgery, gynecological surgery, sexually transmitted infection screening, obstetrics, and vaginal birth after cesarean section. She received a Master of Public Health in Nutrition from the Gilling School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was elected into the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. From 2010 to 2011, she served as a registered dietitian and clinical research assistant at the University of North Carolina Nutrition Obesity Research Center. She earned her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving inductions into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Her residency was completed at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
