Early College High School

Early College High School is a high school in Charleston, SC. A partnership between Charleston County School District and Trident Technical College, the school provides students with the opportunity to enroll in dual credit courses at the Trident Tech Palmer Campus. Serving students with the academic potential and determination to succeed, the school offers a personalized learning environment where students can earn up to an associate degree by the time they graduate from high school.

As an AVID Site of Distinction, the school implements the AVID curriculum across all grade levels and content areas to focus on college and career readiness through writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading. The school offers specialized programs such as the Teach Local Academy, which allows students to explore careers in education through field experiences and coursework. Additionally, the MUSC Health Science Cohort, a partnership with the Medical University of SC and Trident Technical College, prepares students for the healthcare industry through opportunities such as job shadowing, internships, and clinical rotations.
