The original shop opened in January 2016 in Wilmington, North Carolina, employing 19 individuals with disabilities.

The brand has gained 650,000+ followers across social media platforms and has been featured on The Today Show, Rachael Ray, CNN, Harry, Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, HLN, People Magazine, and Southern Living Magazine. Founder Amy Wright was named 2017 CNN Hero of the Year. The Charleston location participates in a program that makes it easy for organizations nationwide to fundraise by selling the coffee.
