Andrew Wolf, MD

Dr. Andrew Wolf, MD is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Gastroenterology. He has over more than 20 years of experience providing expert care for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver conditions and hereditary colorectal syndromes. Dr. Wolf is skilled in a range of diagnostic techniques such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and capsule endoscopy. His advanced skillset allows for more precise diagnosis and superior treatment of various conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), viral hepatitis and hereditary colon cancers such as Lynch syndrome (hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer or HNPCC). Dr. Wolf earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed both an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and he went on to become its fellowship program director as well as director of the Duke Medical Pavilion Endoscopy Unit. Passionate about the importance of colon cancer screening and prevention, Dr. Wolf has collaborated with colleagues for the past four years to establish national screening guidelines for hereditary colorectal syndromes. He also has published academic papers on colon cancer. Dr. Wolf is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a nonprofit alliance of leading cancer centers. In his free time, Dr. Wolf enjoys traveling and hiking with his family and their 120-pound Newfiedoodle. He is also a big Carolina Panthers football and Duke University sports fan.
