Emerald Valley Medical Services is a medical clinic in Eugene, Oregon. The practice accepts new patients for family practice medicine, preventive medicine, and nutrition and lifestyle counseling. Its occupational medicine services include aviation physicals, CDL, DOT and ODOT physicals, sports and school physicals, and work physicals. Aviation medical exams cover FAA Class 1, 2, and 3 physicals, special issuance exams, EKGs, and color vision testing, and the clinic's physician is an FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner qualified to perform Commercial Driver's License physicals for truck drivers, school bus drivers, commercial drivers, and ODOT/DOT drivers. Appointments are arranged by phone, and office hours run Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Dr. Richard A. Hansen, M.D. has served as medical director and physician of the clinic since 2000 and brings more than 50 years of experience in preventive and lifestyle medicine alongside his general medicine practice. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1969 and has served as medical director and president of several Christian lifestyle programs. His practice focuses on the care of the whole person, listening to and discerning the needs of each patient and encouraging the health of body, mind, and spirit. He seeks to prevent degenerative diseases by offering instruction in a natural lifestyle, and he advocates a whole-plant-food-based diet for optimum health. He was the founder and associate editor of the Journal of Health and Healing and is the author of a wellness and home remedy book, Get Well at Home.

The clinic sits on Benson Ln, about a tenth of a mile from Dodson Slough. Cal Young Middle School and Sheldon High School are both roughly half a mile away, as is the Randy Pape Beltline. Sheldon Community Center and Brewer City Park are each about six tenths of a mile from the clinic.
