Situated in the heart of historic downtown Stuart on Colorado Avenue, the property is comprised of several historic buildings. The original structure was built in 1914 as the Coventry Hotel & Apartments. The Vitale family restored the property to preserve its Old Florida-style charm and expanded the collection to include other historical structures. These additions include the Ernest Lyons House, built in 1890 and designated as a National Literary Landmark, and the Owl House River Retreat, a riverfront home constructed in 1904 with a unique four-pointed gable roof. Guests can choose from accommodations in the two main hotel buildings or in guest houses and cottages located a few hundred feet away.
