Valley Vineyards has been part of the Morrow, Ohio community since 1970, growing from a small family farm founded by Ken Schuchter into one of Southwest Ohio’s most beloved destinations. The winery began when Schuchter, guided by Ohio State University viticulturist Garth Cahoon, miscalculated vine stock orders, resulting in enough vines for twenty acres instead of two. This foundation led to the official opening in 1970 inside the family’s barn. The property is currently under the ownership of Matt Cox and Rachel Sackenheim, who are overseeing major renovations to expand dining areas, create new event spaces, and enhance outdoor experiences with new decks, pavilions, grills, and cellar upgrades.
