Students rotate through various surgical services within the NYU Langone Health system, performing scrub and circulating duties. Students are evaluated daily on their clinical performance and take written exams upon completion of each service. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). In 2019, the ARC/STSA Outcomes Assessment Examination pass rate for the program was 92 percent.
