After the partnership dissolved, David Fisher Jr. began working at Wyman Funeral Home in 1948 after graduating from the Renard School of Embalming in New York City. He purchased the business in 1952, at which point there was only one chapel because many families were still holding wakes in their homes. David Fisher Jr. added two more chapels shortly after purchasing the funeral home. In 1973, the current owner, David Fisher III, started working for his father while attending the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Services. He graduated cum laude with the Class of 1975 and took over the business four years later.
