The school was founded by Rabbi Yitzchak and Tammy Chayempour. In 1988, shortly after their marriage, this young Chabad couple living in Brooklyn was directed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to establish a Jewish community for Jews fleeing Iran. They moved to Ladispoli, Italy, a suburb of Rome that housed the American Embassy and many displaced Iranian refugees. Upon arrival, they created resources for the community where none existed, offering adult classes, synagogue services, children’s summer camp, kosher food, and eventually building a Mikvah. The school’s current campus includes a basketball court, a soft gym, an outdoor play area, a welcome area, a rock climbing area, and spaces for murals and artwork. Parents can access a dedicated corner to download supply lists, order uniforms, view the calendar overview, and review the parent handbook for the 2025-26 academic year.
