Carrig Montessori School

Carrig Montessori School is a general education school in Brooklyn, NY. The school provides Montessori child care, preschool, pre-k, kindergarten, and elementary school programs to children and families in the Williamsburg area.

Established in 2009, the school was the first in Williamsburg to dedicate itself entirely to the Montessori philosophy. Originally starting as a single classroom in an apartment, the family-owned and operated institution has grown to serve 40 children. The school offers a Primary Classroom for children ages 3, 4, and 5, featuring preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten programs with extended day options available until 6pm. The Elementary School serves students in grades first through fifth. Additionally, the school provides a Mindful Parenting course for parents with babies and toddlers aged 6 months to 2 years, as well as summer programs for enrolled students.

Located on Maspeth Ave, the school is situated near the Red Shed Community Garden and Orient Grove. It is a short walk from the St. Nicks Alliance community center, New Women Space, and Cooper Park, and is close to Metropolitan Avenue.
