The trainer, Doug Parker, operates under the Reflective Dog Leadership (RDL) methodology, which he has practiced since 2009. His approach focuses on educating the human owner rather than simply training the dog. The method avoids collars, clickers, treats, medications, and muzzles, relying instead on natural, holistic techniques to help dogs achieve a relaxed state of submission. Training sessions take place in the client’s home, typically involving four visits over three weeks, allowing owners to watch the process unfold in real time.

Parker addresses issues such as reactivity, lunging, barking, separation anxiety, and aggression. He teaches owners to read a dog’s behavioral tells, such as yawning, sniffing, or scratching, to understand the animal’s needs and foster a patient, connected relationship. The goal is to lower a dog’s energy level, which Parker distinguishes from traditional obedience, by establishing a bond where the dog feels safe enough to submit voluntarily.

Consultations are available in English and conversational Spanish. Direct conversation via phone is emphasized as the core component of the RDL methodology to accurately evaluate situations.

The business maintains a 5.00 rating from customers who have reviewed the service. This positive reputation is supported by clients who highlight the unique, natural approach to managing high-energy or traumatized dogs.
