Founded in the early 1900s by descendants of early Mays Landing settlers, the winery was acquired in 1966 by Savo Balić, a vine-grower from the Adriatic Sea, who brought European winemaking traditions to the United States. In 1993, Savo’s nephew, Bojan Boskovic, arrived from Europe to continue the family legacy. Born in Belgrade and raised in Montenegro, Bojan brings deep ancestral roots in viticulture and oenology to the winery. He has worked alongside Savo since 1993, combining his European training with family expertise to maintain the authenticity and quality of the wines. The winery has undergone renovations and equipment upgrades, expanding its product line while preserving its heritage.

The winery is open seven days a week, serving guests from 9 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 11 AM to 7 PM on Sundays. It is situated on Harding Hwy, near the Atlantic coast, making it a popular stop for travelers exploring the Outer Coastal Plain.
