The story of Chickie's & Pete's began in 1977 in Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood, where Peter and Henrietta Ciarrocchi purchased a small taproom. Over the decades, the business evolved into a nationally recognized brand, celebrated for its unique menu items and unmatched game day experience. The iconic Crabfries®, crinkle-cut fries tossed in a proprietary spice blend and served with white cheese sauce, were perfected in the late 1970s and trademarked in 1979. The bar’s connection to the Philadelphia Eagles deepened through Pete’s relationship with Lisa Edel, a former Eagles cheerleader, who helped solidify the venue’s status as the team’s official sports bar. Today, Chickie's & Pete's continues to serve as a hub for sports fans, events, and community gatherings, with offerings ranging from catering and private parties to a dedicated betting partnership and a food truck service.
