Jon Buatti began his culinary career at a family‑friend restaurant on Hampton Beach before completing a culinary tech program, an associate’s degree in Baking and Culinary Arts, and a bachelor’s in Culinary Management. In 2019 he purchased the former Michelle’s Gourmet Pastries and Deli, renaming it Bearded Baking Co. and expanding the menu to include breakfast staples such as bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches, a variety of pastries like cinnamon buns, donuts, elephant ears, muffins and croissants, as well as deli‑style lunch sandwiches with fresh‑baked focaccia, French rolls, multigrain bread or wraps. The bakery also serves a range of desserts, including cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, cupcakes and Parisian torte, and beverages from hometown coffee roasters to cold brew and iced coffee. Jon’s cake work was featured in the 2019 fall/winter edition of NH Bride Magazine and on Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship in 2020.

Located on Lafayette Road, Bearded Baking Co. sits a short walk from High Street and Exeter Road, and is less than half a mile from Hampton Academy, the Hampton Town Office, and Lane Memorial Library.
