Harper's Eden Catering of Derry

Harper's Eden Catering is a catering business in Derry, NH, located at 35 Manchester Rd Unit 9. Owner Amanda Velazquez provides private dinners, events, baby showers, and weddings. Her culinary background includes training at culinary school, working as a personal chef for a family, and experience at a Michelin Star restaurant. The business holds a 5.00 rating based on 14 reviews.

The company name honors Velazquez’s late daughter, Harper Eden, who passed away in September 2022. Velazquez describes food as a universal form of communication and a way to show love. In Harper’s memory, she hosts pop-up events known as the Sunshine Supper Series. The first event took place at the Bookery in Manchester, with proceeds donated to Project Sweet Pea, which supports the NICU at Elliot Hospital where Harper spent her first three months. Upcoming plans include a Viking feast themed ax-throwing event and a cooking demonstration-style class at the Gathering Grounds in Brookline that features a seated dinner. Velazquez also aims to eventually open a dedicated Harper's Eden venue where her daughter’s memory can continue to live on. A favorite recipe from the kitchen is "Million Calorie" Mashed Potatoes, made with red potatoes.

The location sits on Manchester Road, about 0.2 miles from The UPS Store and The Zoo Health Club. It is roughly 0.3 miles from Shields Brook and Sportszone, and about 0.6 miles from the Derry Police station.
