Located on Montague Rd in Currie, the family-owned estate features a diverse selection of wines, including muscadines, a semi-sweet blueberry wine, a Riesling, a Rosé, a Chardonnay, and a Double Barrel Cabernet aged in oak and Jack Daniel’s barrels. Guests can enjoy wine flights, wine slushies, local craft beer, Ashe County cheese, and meals from a food truck, all set against the backdrop of a scenic pond and vineyard. The property hosts regular events such as wine pairing dinners, Mother’s Day celebrations, blueberry harvest festivities, farmers markets, and fall festivals, with live music on Saturdays. The vineyard traces its roots to 1987, when Paul and Martha Gregory purchased an 113-acre blueberry farm in Currie. Over time, the property expanded to 251 acres, with the addition of ponds and the restoration of an old tobacco barn into living quarters. After Paul’s passing in 2012, his son Alan and daughter-in-law Pam acquired the farm in 2016 and began revitalizing it, planting new blueberry crops and establishing a vineyard. In 2017, they opened the property to the public for weddings and events, and by 2020 introduced Vineyard Weekends featuring live music and food trucks. Alan continues to honor his family’s legacy by fostering community and creating lasting memories on the land where he grew up.
