Big Sky Tutoring

Big Sky Tutoring is a tutoring service in Bozeman, Montana. It provides individualized academic support to students of all ages, including academic intervention for students working within the public school system, custom support for families pursuing homeschool options, support for advanced students, and summer programs. Subject coverage spans elementary and middle school math and reading, high school English, math through AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics, social sciences, and sciences including biology, physics, chemistry, and environmental science, along with college-level chemistry, math, physics, and engineering courses. Summer tutoring covers college application support, high school writing groups, middle and elementary school math groups, and standardized test preparation.

The team also teaches executive functioning skills intended to serve students in future academic pursuits. Tutors work in subject areas such as mathematics, sciences, and language, and build positive relationships with the students they teach. Sessions extend beyond academic content: students learn study strategies, organizational tactics, and communication skills. After every session, families receive a summary of the content covered and an actionable list of tasks for the student to complete that week, so parents can track progress between sessions.

Big Sky Tutoring was founded by owner Callie Kazakoff, a 2021 honors graduate of Montana State University's Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, who started the business at age 17 and has served the Bozeman community since. She has personally mentored over 250 students and specializes in supporting high school students who need a full academic overhaul, teaching study skills and organizational tactics. The team includes experienced academic mentors and educators.

The business sits on South 19th Avenue, about a tenth of a mile from West Main Street and a short distance from the Kirk neighborhood.
