NAMI Billings

NAMI Billings is a non-profit organization in Billings, Montana, that raises awareness and provides mental health support and education to people affected by mental illness. It offers free classes and community presentations for individuals living with a mental health condition and for the family and friends who support them. Two free support groups are available: NAMI Connection, for people living with a mental health condition, and the NAMI Family Support Group, for family members and loved ones. Support groups serve people ages 18 and older.

The organization's classes include an eight-week education program for families and friends of individuals with a mental health condition, an eight-week recovery-based class for individuals taught by trained mentors living in recovery, and a six-session online class for parents of children and young people up to age 22. A five-session staff development program is offered to health care organizations, with a four-hour introductory session also available. NAMI Homefront is a free six-session online program for families, caregivers and friends of military service members and veterans with mental health conditions. Presenter training prepares peers and family members to share their stories through presentations such as Ending the Silence and In Our Own Voice. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is led by a board of directors and staff including a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, office manager, programs coordinator and programs advisor.

NAMI Billings is located at 955 Broadwater Square, about a tenth of a mile from Magic City Family Medicine and roughly half a mile from Washington Elementary School. The office sits about half a mile from Grand Avenue.
