EdinAlarm Inc. of Bloomington

EdinAlarm Inc. is a security camera installer in Bloomington, Minnesota, serving homeowners and business owners across the Twin Cities metro. The company installs and services comprehensive security systems, with monitoring that alerts clients by text message when a window or door is left open or unlocked, and cameras that keep watch on activity in the front yard and backyard and track who enters and leaves. Clients can check their whole home's status in one place rather than walking the house at night. EdinAlarm also monitors for water leaks and for loss or excess of heat. The team handles alarm response, networking troubleshooting, and device questions, and the office answers the phone during weekday hours. EdinAlarm holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.

Founded in 1989, EdinAlarm is a locally owned Twin Cities alarm company that has serviced the metro for almost 40 years. In early 2025, EdinAlarm and Westco Security merged, and under the leadership of Aron Caryl and Jon Barnet the two companies continued serving clients together. The founder, Jon, has been with the company since 1989 and remains involved after installation, guiding clients toward the right system for their needs. The staff is tenured: the general manager has been aboard since 2022, the controller since 2007, the office manager since 2001, the service manager since 1996, the field manager since 2015, and several technicians since 2005. Aron serves as president and co-owner, and Jafet directs IT and surveillance. Technicians and office staff work to provide knowledgeable service, and the team supports residential and commercial clients alike.

The business sits on Computer Ave, about a third of a mile from Normandale Boulevard and roughly half a mile from Fred Richards Park, Lake Edina, and the Nine Mile Creek area. Pentagon Park is a short distance away.

Longtime clients describe EdinAlarm as exceptional in every way, and several have stayed with the company for two decades or more, upgrading systems they first installed years ago. That record of repeat, long-term customers reflects the reputation EdinAlarm has built across Bloomington and the wider Twin Cities.
