Novex Sports

Novex Sports is a Sporting Goods Store in Romulus, MI, located at 8400 Wayne Rd. Novex is a manufacturer of high-performance polyurethane conveyor belting, sheeting, and molded parts. The company provides a complete line of industrial and food grade conveyor belts with tension ratings ranging from 90 to 200 PIW. Novex produces a specially formulated polyurethane compound, CU-85, using a synchronous cast process that saturates fabric to eliminate plies and reduce premature wear. This material offers superior abrasion resistance, helping customers reduce maintenance requirements and increase uptime. The conveyor belting features thermoplastic-like characteristics that allow for endless splicing via heat welding with a hot air gun and weld rod, or by curing belt ends in a water-cooled vulcanizer. For specialized requirements, the company offers custom molded parts engineered for high compression resistance and durability against solvents, chemicals, abrasion, and heat. The company has supplied polyurethane products since 1987, with roots in the Novitane line at B.F. Goodrich founded in the early 1960s. After B.F. Goodrich shut down its Akron, OH Novitane line in December 1987, Novex, Inc. was formed and relocated to Wadsworth, OH. In mid-2024, Novex expanded into a new facility in Barberton, OH, doubling its operational capacity. The company serves an international customer base across a wide range of industries, focusing on innovation, quality, and timely delivery.
