This dual-site structure allows residents to explore all specialty areas that patients may require. The program reports an average of 200 first-year procedures per resident. Recent residents have engaged in academic activities, including Dr. Tyler Sadilek, a Class of 2027 resident, who served as a guest speaker for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Your Health Lecture Series. Her presentation focused on identifying contributions to gaps in rural health care, systemic factors that perpetuate disparities, and interventions aimed at improving equity and access for individuals living in rural America. Additionally, residents Leah Babiarz and Spencer Batten presented research on blood contamination rates in the emergency department amid phlebotomy staffing shortages at the Mid-Michigan Research Day.

The clinic is located at 1215 E Michigan Ave. It sits on East Michigan Avenue, approximately 78 metres from the University of Michigan Health - Sparrow Lansing hospital. The location is also about 336 metres from North Pennsylvania Avenue and 347 metres from Don Johnson Field House.

The program is led by Kristen Owen, DO, who serves as the Program Director, with Eric Treanor acting as the Program Coordinator. Applications for the residency open in September, with program review occurring in October and interviews starting late October.
