Yolit Yospe-Kachlon, the studio’s founder and instructor, was born and raised in Israel, where she began studying dance at a young age and discovered Flamenco during her time at art school. She trained under renowned Flamenco masters in Israel, including Carmel Nathan-Shelly and Timo Lozano, and launched her performance career there. After relocating to the United States in 2004, she continued her studies with prominent artists such as Edwin Aparico and Anna Menendez, performing at venues including The Kennedy Center and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. She established her own performance company, Alma Flamenca, in 2015, and later fulfilled her vision by opening Alma Dance Studio to share her expertise and passion with the Rockville community.

Located at 12221 Parklawn Dr #160, the studio sits on Parklawn Drive, just a short distance from the Reginald S Lourie Center School and the Department of Health and Human Services’ Parklawn Building.
