Omega Auto Werks was founded in 2010 and has remained family-owned and operated since, run by its founder, his wife, and their team. The founder left a career as an aviation pilot to open the shop, continuing a family connection to the automotive trade; his father ran his own auto shop for years. The business was built as an alternative to dealership service, with an emphasis on clarity and honesty through the repair process. The lead technician has been with the shop since it opened. Every service is backed by a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty, and financing options are available to help customers manage repair costs. Completed vehicles are kept inside the facility and must be picked up within 48 hours of completion, and pick-up and drop-off service is offered for a fee.

The shop sits on Washington Boulevard, about half a mile from the Little Patuxent River and roughly the same distance from High Road Academy. The Bollman Truss Bridge park is about 0.6 miles away, and Hammond Branch creek is about 0.3 miles from the building.

Omega Auto Werks has built a positive reputation among the customers who have reviewed it, and its long-standing, family-run operation and European specialization make it a distinctive option for drivers in and around North Laurel.
