Little Star Buddies Nature-based Child Care

Little Star Buddies Nature-based Child Care is a daycare in Beverly, Massachusetts. It operates as a nature-based family child care program, licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care since 2006. The program is run by Mandy Miller, who is certified in Infant/Child CPR, AED, and First Aid by the American Red Cross, certified as an Eco-Healthy facility by the Children's Environmental Health Network, a member of the Natural Teacher's Network, a certified Nature-based Educator by the Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools, and a certified educator by National Geographic.

Mandy Miller is a mother of three children, Dahlia, Maya, and Miles, and describes her family as easy-going and appreciative of simple things, with a love of the outdoors and weekend road trips. She grew up in Berkshire County, where she was the community babysitter and led children's art classes, and moved to Eastern Massachusetts in 2002 to pursue a career in education. She worked as an assistant teacher in an alternative learning center until her first daughter was born, then started her own daycare so she could stay home. In her free time she enjoys yoga, craft projects, sewing, photography, and reading.

The daycare sits on Essex Street in Beverly, a short walk from Hurd Stadium and Cooney Field and about a quarter mile from Prospect Hill. Beverly Hospital and Kellehers Pond are both roughly half a mile away.

Families interested in the program can reach Mandy Miller at 151 Essex St., Beverly, MA 01915, or by phone at (978) 799-7818.
