The business began when Margaret and Ann Robinson, two single sisters from Fort Thomas, purchased 50 acres of land in 1956. They started by keeping the pets of their friends for short periods at their log cabin. This practice grew into a formal operation, and Robinwood Kennel officially opened in 1970 with the aid of their nephew, Joe Pitzer. The facility features individual pet kennels for each guest to ensure safety and comfort. Each dog run includes its own individual outdoor section to prevent loneliness while keeping animals secure.

Guests also have access to a larger exercise area at no additional charge. The kennel provides safe and affordable boarding services, maintaining the same approach since its founding. The sisters’ log cabin and expansive land form the backdrop for the facility, which continues to operate as a leading local provider for pet boarding and dog kenneling.

The business is known for its positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it. It has served the Covington area for more than 50 years, offering a dedicated space for both dogs and cats.
