Dixon Dance Academy

Dixon Dance Academy is a dance studio in West Dundee, Illinois. Serving Chicago’s northwest suburbs, the academy offers over 40 classes for dancers ranging from age 3 through adulthood. Their diverse curriculum includes ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, ballroom, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, musical theatre, pointe, and creative movement. The studio also provides specialized training for nine competitive dance teams and competitive soloists.

Since opening in 1994, the academy has grown from a small studio on Main Street into a large-scale facility featuring both large and small studios. The academy serves as a second home to over 600 young dancers, supported by a dedicated faculty of 12 part-time instructors and a full-time office manager and artistic director. The teaching staff focuses on inspiring students to love exercise and performance while developing skills that can benefit any future career choice. Beyond recreational classes, the academy offers thirteen competition-level classes, including various Junior and Teen teams for jazz, tap, and hip hop, as well as specialized companies.

The studio is located on S 8th St in West Dundee, situated near the Dundee Post Office and a short distance from Sleepy Creek. The location is also close to the West Dundee Fire and Police Stations.
