Rediscover Your Dog

Rediscover Your Dog is a dog training business in Springfield, IL. Founded by Nate Shephard in 2017, the business helps people build healthier, happier relationships with their dogs. Daycare is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays with curbside drop-off from 7 to 9am and pick-up from 4 to 6pm, for dogs six months or older, 35 pounds or heavier, spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations, following an assessment. The business holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it. Nate Shephard is an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator who spent almost 30 years training thousands of dogs before starting the business, beginning by helping shelters train dogs with behavioral issues that were on euthanasia lists. He worked with trainers around the country and developed his own training style. Every staff member started as a client, including coordinator Robin Wheaton, who handles client contact and scheduling. The team also includes Kyleigh (James) Sutker, who assists clients in finding ethical, reputable breeders, matching them with breeds and breeders and providing education on health testing and titling. The business is located at 2161 East Moffat Avenue, about half a mile from Margery Adams Wildlife Sanctuary and a little over half a mile from Clear Lake Avenue. The Village of Grandview, Immanuel School, the Climate Restoration Area and Chamberlain Ball Park are each roughly 0.7 to 0.8 miles away. Rediscover Your Dog pairs nearly three decades of hands-on training experience with a staff drawn from its own client base, so the people working with Springfield dogs have stood in the same place as the owners bringing them in.
