Element Furniture is a Chicago furniture shop located in Joliet, where each piece is crafted from solid wood and built to suit the customer’s design aesthetic and room dimensions. The business began when founder Scott Grzelak, dissatisfied with the quality and price of conventional furniture stores, started making tables in his garage. The original table he built is still on display in the showroom today. The operation has since grown from that garage into a multi-man workshop where Scott and the team fine-tune products to ensure they are high-quality, durable, and cater to individual needs.

The company focuses on crafting surfaces that can be used daily without fear of damage, viewing tables as a family’s workbench. Their custom solid wood tables are made to order with a typical lead time of approximately 14 weeks, which includes both the build and delivery phases. Each piece is clear coated with a high-end commercial finish that holds up to water, heat, and nail polish remover. The business offers a structural warranty covering the integrity and durability of the furniture, standing behind the long-term value of their investment.

The business holds a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
