The school adheres to high standards addressing quality teacher training, beautiful and challenging classroom materials, pertinent parent education, and fiscally solid systems. The curriculum uses hands-on exploration at each child's own pace. In Toddler and Early Childhood programs for ages 2 to 6, children absorb information through their senses in a carefully prepared environment designed to foster independence and confidence. Elementary I covers grades 1 through 3, where students build foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, language, and cultural studies while deepening social connections. Upper Elementary for grades 4 through 6 expands into history, science, advanced mathematics, art, music, and literature. Students develop self-discipline and intellectual curiosity through community service and independent research. Middle School for grades 7 and 8 uses project-based learning and real-world problem-solving to develop leadership and intellectual independence.

Montessori Private Academy holds a strong reputation for authentic Montessori teaching. It has served the community for four decades. The not-for-profit structure supports its mission to prepare the whole child intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically, not only for the child’s years in school, but throughout life.

Montessori Private Academy brings a rigorous, child-centered education to Rockford families. It prepares students for life through hands-on learning and real responsibility.
