Edge Music Academy Naperville

Edge Music Academy Naperville is a music school in Naperville, Illinois. It teaches piano, guitar, voice, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass and most standard instruments, starting students as young as four or five depending on the instrument and also teaching adults. Lessons run weekly in 30-minute standard sessions, with 45 and 60-minute options for advanced students, and cover complete beginners through advanced players. The academy also operates in Mokena and Homer Glen.

Edge Music Academy was founded in 2021 by Jason Thompson, who had taught at music schools and retail-based lesson programs across Chicagoland and set out to build a school with a structured curriculum and an artistic standard. Instructors are selected through an audition and interview process, auditioning on each instrument they teach, including sight reading the books used in the curriculum, and the academy does not hire beginners. The Artistic Director and Area Director review assigned homework and curriculum implementation. Students can self-book a teacher or apply to be matched by personality and goals, and progress is tracked through a student portal that emails parents each week. Lessons can be canceled and rescheduled with 24 hours notice, and enrollment is month to month with no long-term contract. Performances include a formal spring recital at a professional venue, holiday recitals and summer performances. The academy's philanthropic arm built and maintains free instrument libraries at multiple public libraries.

The academy is on Foxcroft Rd, about a tenth of a mile from Old Farm Greenway Park and a short walk from South Washington Street. Arbor Way Park is roughly four tenths of a mile away, Maplebrook Elementary School about half a mile, and Winding Creek about seven tenths of a mile.

Edge Music Academy holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
