Modern Way Cleaners

Modern Way Cleaners is a cleaning service in Melrose Park, IL. The business provides dry cleaning, tailoring, and home delivery service to the Chicago suburbs, with more than twenty years of experience behind it. Customers can drop garments off by 2 PM for next-day service or schedule a pick-up and delivery at home or the office.

The shop handles a wide range of items beyond standard dry cleaning, including laundry washing and ironing, comforters and bedspreads, dress shirts inspected for missing buttons, spots, and wrinkles, and wedding gowns preserved through a museum-quality service. Expert tailoring covers dresses, gowns, summer wear, and formal wear, along with general alterations. Leather, suede, and fur pieces are also cleaned with attention to preserving color and texture. In place of harsh chemical solvents, Modern Way Cleaners uses a water-based wet cleaning system with biodegradable detergents in computer-controlled equipment, an approach the business describes as more eco-conscious.

Modern Way Cleaners is located at 10405 W Fullerton Ave, just off North Mannheim Road. Apostles Lutheran School is about a fifth of a mile south, and Leyden Township Hall is roughly the same distance to the west. The Leyden Fire Protection District, Leyden Township Community Center, and Mannheim Middle School are all within half a mile. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and closed on Sunday. Reach them by phone at (847) 455-2250.
