LSG Cleaning Services is a women-owned business that creates economic opportunities and healthy work conditions for women. The company began as a vision of two immigrant women who dreamed to use their cleaning and management skills to create employment opportunities for themselves and other families in their community. After completing a series of business classes at the Quinn Community Center of St. Eulalia in Maywood, founders Patricia Giron and Ciria Sanchez organized other families in the community to start LSG as a worker-owned cooperative. Ciria Sanchez co-founded the business after completing training at Latin Women in Action to provide employment opportunities for women in her community. Patricia Giron gathered a team of community leaders to design and implement a plan for a corporation that would provide great quality service and advance economic development in their communities.

The cooperative currently includes worker-owners such as Manuela Chavez, Damaris Sarahi, and Sherlyn Gomez. Manuela Chavez, who graduated from Proviso East High School in 2020, was inspired by seeing her mother build a co-operative business. She aims to build her own business and provide economic opportunities for young adults while investing in children after school programming. Damaris Sarahi and Sherlyn Gomez contribute to the team that delivers the company's services. LSG Cleaning Services is a member of the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership, working to expand worker-owned cooperatives to create a just and inclusive economy and foster a cooperative culture.
